Axis Salon Studio is a salon collective of professionals providing services to better the lives of our guest while providing our team a healthy creative environment to create and grow our skills.
ABOUT THE SPACE:
Axis Salon has been a commission-based salon in this location for over 20 years. Over the last two decades our salon has grown, changed ownership, remodeled, re-branded, and finally switching over to a community of booth rental cosmetologists and stylists. Axis Salon has slowly evolved Into what you see today – an eclectic, artistic, open-concept salon for creativity to flow in, out and around of our beautiful studio!
MEET JENAY:
Jenay’s was born and raised in Omaha, Nebraska, and proceeded to Northwest Missouri State University for her degree in fashion merchandising and business. After graduation, Jenay moved to Des Moines to pursue a career in cosmetology. Following in her mother’s footsteps, she graduated and started working at Axis Salon. Jenay knew deep down that salon ownership was a goal from the start, and Axis Salon just so happened to be located in her favorite neighborhood! She set her sights on target in 2007 and by 2014, Jenay was the Owner!
Growing her family and salon at the same time has been a balancing act, but over 15 years and 3 little boys later, her focus and determination has resulted in this amazing salon transformation!
